Assisted Living Community Offers Support to Residents’ Family Members, Caregivers
This September, Fellowship Square Phoenix launches a new program to not only aid its residents, but the surrounding community as well. The new Alzheimer’s Support Group meetings are open to the public, and led by Chaplain Brad Auten and Amy Cardinale of Christian Care and Fellowship Square Phoenix.
Meetings will take place at the Oasis at Fellowship Square Phoenix Campus located at 11818 N. 19th Ave. in Phoenix. For more information, call Amy Cardinale at 602-443-5447 or visit www.fellowshipsquareseniorliving.org.
Designed for both caregivers and family members of those suffering from Alzheimer’s and other types of dementia, the meetings will feature a variety of speakers including professional caregivers, psychologists, nurses and other experts in the Alzheimer’s field offering counsel and advice.
The support group answers the call of concerned caregivers and family members that need additional advice and a community of people that are going through similar experiences with loved ones in their life as they navigate the intricacies of a complicated disease such as Alzheimer’s. With these meetings, Fellowship Square hopes to relieve the anxiety, stress and even aloneness that caregivers and loved ones can sometimes feel.
Beginning September, the Alzheimer’s Support Group will meet at 1:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month.
