FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel Showcases Dualities Exhibit this May
Date(s) – 05/14/2019 – 05/15/2019
The FOUND:RE Phoenix Hotel, located at 1100 North Central Avenue, presents its Artist In the Studio exhibit titled “Dualities” this May featuring organic textural canvases and high-gloss resins by local artist Niki Woehler, whose works have been featured throughout the hotel since its inception.
Initially working with textures on canvas, Woehler started working with resin when she discovered a water-based food-grade resin. Because she lives a very healthy and organic lifestyle, she wanted to ensure she was using a non-toxic product that she could feel good about using and ultimately putting into people’s homes. Her process for her resin art is uniquely her own, and she has begun using her resin technique on plexiglass and aluminum panels so she can work in larger formats that are seamless in design. In addition to creating art for the home, Woehler has expanded her breadth of work to large-scale commissions for corporate clientele because she feels strongly that it is just as important to create a beautiful work environment as it is to create a beautiful home environment.
The official unveiling of the Dualities exhibit and artist’s reception will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3 in conjunction with Downtown Phoenix First Friday Art Walk. Woehler will be in attendance to meet and mingle with guests and discuss her art. Dualities will remain on display through Friday, May 31.
